Cloud Expo Silicon Valley $800 Savings here! Hybrid clouds provide us with the ability to leverage the best of public and private clouds to meet highly scalable business requirements. Many things must be taken into consideration, such as interface compatibility, use of standards, and an architecture that spans two very different platforms. WebRTC Summit | Robust Carrier Grade WebRTC Service

Slide Deck: Robust Carrier Grade WebRTC Service Consumers have higher expectations of their telephony experience than they do of a web browsing experience. They expect the phone to connect instantly with minimal disruptions. The phone is already secure and phone numbers are used to make connections. Subscribers expect their phone service to work seamless across any network, anywhere, at any time. Subscribers will expect WebRTC into the enterprise to behave in the same manner. In his session at WebRTC Summit, Douglas Tait, Global Director of Marketing for Telecommunications at Oracle, looked at the user experience and expectations of a WebRTC service and covered how a WebRTC service handles security, reliability, and interoperability within browsers and networks. How to Create a Public and Private Key Pair

SOAPbox has a lot of useful features, such as testing REST Web Services like Microsoft's Bing, doing a vulnerability assessment of a Web Service, and driving command-line stress testing of a Web Service. But did you know that you can use it to generate X.5o9 certificates and their corresponding private keys? For this purpose, it's a lot easier than using the OpenSSL command-line options. With SOAPbox, the whole process is GUI-driven. Here's how you do it: First, under the "Security" menu item, choose "View Certificates": Now his "Create" in the bottom-right, and you see this page: Now you can insert the certificate attributes by pressing on the "Edit" button near the top-right of the "Configure Certificate and Private Key" dialog: If you want to also create a private key to correspond to your new certificate, press on "Sign Certificate". You can choose to self-sign the ... (more)
